How Om Baby Bliss was born

A story from founder and CEO, Dr. Jamie Schiffer

I never imagined I’d be a full-time yoga and Pilates instructor—or a parent—but life led me here. My path began in science, earning a PhD, yet movement has always been part of my life, from competitive soccer to yoga and Pilates.

After personal loss and chronic knee pain in my mid-20s, Pilates became more than exercise—it became healing. Parenthood deepened that truth. The early years were precious and overwhelming, shaped by isolation, health scares, and a kind of separation anxiety many parents quietly carry.

Through infant massage and parent-child movement, I found grounding, connection, and relief—for both my baby and myself. Teaching these practices showed me I wasn’t alone. Parents need spaces where they feel supported, seen, and safe to simply be.

That’s how Om Baby Bliss was born: a place to honor parents, nurture babies, and build community through movement, touch, and connection. My hope is that every family who walks through our doors feels held and supported.
